Plant description: One of the most hardy of all the cactus, the golden barrel's graceful yellow spines look stunning year to year. The cactus slowly grows to 3 feet tall and just as wide. Older golden barrels will produce offspring/shoots, making clusters. This cactus looks great when planted in groups. A true ornament of any arid landscape, the golden barrel cactus has striking green spines and bright yellow spikes.
