Plant description: The blue hibiscus is neither blue nor a hibiscus at all. It is from Australia and is actually lavender in color. The leaves look nothing like a hibiscus, they are more fern-like in nature. This plant makes for a very colorful spring feature in any arid garden. Blooms last a couple of days and are constant until mid summer (early fall in cooler zones)
